Full Day Tour
Ex Auckland
Operates Daily
We depart Auckland this morning and travel through spectacular scenery of native forests and sub-tropical bush to the foreshores of the National Maritime Park, arriving at the seaside town of Paihia for our Dolphin Eco Experience and your chnace to swim with wild dolphins.
Some say that swimming with dolphins is a life-changing experience. This full day return sightseeing tour from Auckland gives you the chance to get into the water with these amazing creatures and swim alongside as they play in their natural environment (conditions permitting). You'll also cruise the many secluded islands of the Bay and gain an insight into the historically significant Bay of Islands region. Keep an eye out for other marine life including whales, penguins and seals. Snorkels, masks, fins and wetsuits provided.
This intimate half day cruise seeks out the many playful dolphins within the sheltered waters of the Bay. Join the crew in searching for those tell tale splashes as Tutunui (our wee boat) gets in really close; jump into the warmest waters in New Zealand and snorkel with these majestic and inquisitive creatures - an experience you will never forget!
Our purpose built dolphin boat gets you closer with a low viewing deck, water jet engines, underwater microphone and experienced crew with an intimate knowledge of dolphin behaviour. And with a maximum number of 35 passengers onboard it means that this is a very upclose and personal experience. Note: All customers that swim with dolphins must be comfortable swimming in open water. If you are unsure, please consult with our team during booking.
At the conclusion of your Dolphin Eco Experience you will reboard your coach from the return journey back to Auckland
NB: If conditions do not permit you to swim with the dolphins, full retail paying customers will receive a $30 cash refund at Maritime Building, Paihia.

Travelling north from Auckland your journey into Northland will take you through rolling countryside, rural towns and past sandy beaches to Paihia, situated in the beautiful Bay of Islands.
Regarded as the birthplace of New Zealand, Northland is rich in both culture and early Maori and European history - from Kupe, believed to be the very first Maori voyager to arrive in New Zealand over 1,000 years ago, to the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi between Maori and the Crown.
The Bay of Islands is a stunning region consisting of 144 islands abundant in natural beauty and marine life. You can experience it to the full by swimming with dolphins or visiting the famous Cape Brett Hole in the Rock.
