First stopping off at Puketi Forest, you’ll get up close to ancient and majestic, giant Kauri trees. Learn of the traditional use of these graceful giants, and the conservation of the forest today. The 20 minute elevated wooden walkway is fantastic- through beautiful dense native bush.

This tour also gives passengers a taste of New Zealand's varying and beautiful landscape. The trip showcases the rolling hills of Northland's country-side, breath-taking coastal views, forest, fast beaches and giant sand-dues.

90 Mile Beach is another highlight - you'll drive along the beach as waves crash beside the custom-built coach. Take in the bird life and try to spot some fur seals. Don’t be alarmed when your driver takes the bus up Te Paki Stream towards the mountainous sand dunes, it's all part of the trip!

Clambering up then sand-boarding down the enormous dunes will give your legs a stretch after the first part of the tour. Remember your camera when heading up the dunes- there's a stunning view when you reach the top which you'll want to capture.

Take a break as the tour carries onto Cape Reinga. Your guide also doubles as a story teller, sharing Maori legend that spirits depart off the Cape on their journey home to Hawaiki. Upon arrival you will have plenty of time to stretch your legs, visit the light house and watch the Tasman Sea collide with the Pacific Ocean.

The journey home is equally enjoyable with interesting and informative commentary from your tour guide who shares personalised stories and insights into the area. And to top off a long day of adventure, there's nothing better than being dropped back at the door of your accommodation!
