About our Drivers

The most important part of the GreatSights New Zealand® experience is our drivers.

At GreatSights New Zealand® we believe in providing experiences, not just "coach tours" - and the most important part of the GreatSights New ZEaland® experience is our drivers.

Our drivers are all local "experts" who provide not only an entertaining and informative commentary on the historical and geographical points of interest - but they will also share personal anecdotes that enliven the commentary and enrich your understanding. Their friendliness, experience and pride in being ambassadors for their country ensures every tour is a success.

All GreatSights New Zealand® drivers undertake specialised training by independent consultants, as well as participating in nationally recognised training courses. Safety is our primary concern. All drivers receive an annual medical test as well as specific training for alpine/snow driving conditions where required. Not only this, but our drivers are also provided with full training in other areas such as cultural and language studies and commentary preparation.
