Waitomo Caves Black Water Rafting Tour from Auckland to Rotorua

Explore vast underground caverns filled with enchanting glowworms on an unforgettable black water rafting experience. Your driver will provide interesting commentary as you travel from Auckland to Waitomo Caves in the King Country region.

Here, inside the Ruakuri Cave, you’ll set off on a Black Labyrinth rafting experience. Wearing a wetsuit, boots and helmet, you’ll float through the cave system on an inflatable tube, as well as climbing and jumping through the caves. You’ll be accompanied by an expert guide as you explore the caves, paddling through rapids and paddling through rapids as well as enjoying the sight of twinkling glowworms above and all around you.

After three magical hours you’ll emerge into native bush in the Waitomo Forest, Refresh with a hot shower, then tuck into a delicious lunch of authentic Kiwi fish and chips at the Waitomo Glowworm Caves Restaurant.

You can choose to follow your black water adventure with a visit to the other caves in the area (at extra cost), before continuing your journey to Rotorua.
